The Museum of Art, Kochi opened in Kochi City on November 3, 1993, to deepen understanding of art through appreciation of fine art and to enrich and comfort people's lives. The museum also serves as a center for the arts and culture of Kochi Prefecture, and in order to familiarize the people of the prefecture with the arts, it holds exhibitions in a wide range of genres, various creative courses and lectures, or hall ・ events such as film screenings, concerts, Noh plays, and theatrical performances.
